Sephora Sale 2021 Recommendations
Before we jump into my recommendations for the sale, I want to point out that you can find amazing products at any price point. I love a good luxurious product, but I have lots of drugstore favorites too! This post is just to share some products I love at Sephora, but you don’t NEED high end products to have a good skincare or makeup routine.
Skincare
Cleansers
The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser: One of my favorite budget-friendly cleansing balms. Affordable, feels luxurious on the skin, overall a great first cleanser.
Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser: This is such a nice gentle cleanser! It smells like strawberries and provides gentle enzymatic exfoliation.
Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Cleanser: Another great gentle cleanser option. It’s simple and effective, but I’m obsessed with the blueberry scent!
Serums
iNNBeauty Project Green Machine Face Serum: A gentle vitamin c serum that’s a great fit for sensitive skin types. Full iNNBeauty Project Review here!
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum: Another great vitamin c serum that also has peptides to treat signs of aging!
Topicals Faded: An amazing serum for treating hyperpigmentation and post-inlammatory erythema. It does smell a bit like perming solution, but I overlook it because it works.
Sunday Riley UFO: If you’re looking for a gentle treatment for mild breakouts, this is a great option. Love the unique oil format!
Moisturizers
Farmacy Honey Halo Moisturizer: An amazing rich moisturizer with ceramides to help support your skin’s natural skin barrier. Great for dry skin!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: A simple, classic moisturizer. It’s not fancy, but it does the job and comes in a huge container!
Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisturizer: This is one of my favorite “splurge” moisturizers. It’s really hydrating but has a super lightweight gel texture.
Sunscreens
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen: My go-to sunscreen to use under makeup. Feels just like a silicone makeup primer.
Dr. Dennis Gross Lightweight Wrinkle Defense SPF 30: One of the most high quality mineral sunscreens. It’s very pricey, but it’s one of the best mineral SPFs I’ve tried.
Eye Creams
Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask: A super rich, nourishing eye cream with retinol. It’s very hydrating and helps with smoothing out the under eyes and prevent signs of aging.
The Inkey List Retinol Eye Cream: An affordable starter eye cream with retinol. Also great for preventing signs of aging.
Alpyn Beauty Line-Filling Eye Balm: One of my go-to morning eye creams. It’s hydrating, smoothing, and has a little mica for brightening.
Toners
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Toner: A hydrating, mildly exfoliating toner that brightens and smooths the skin. Love the mild fruity scent too!
Tower 28 Beauty SOS Spray: This is my go to facial spray for when my skin is irritated or sensitive. It’s also amazing for preventing maskne! Just spray it on your face throughout the day to prevent breakouts.
Masks/Treatments
Youth to the People Superclay Mask: One of the best mud masks I’ve ever tried. Great for clogged pores, oiliness, and congestion. Love that it’s not overly drying on the skin.
Topicals Like Butter: This multi-purpose product can be used as a hydrating mask or a leave-on overnight mask. It’s nourishing, soothing, and a great “lazy day” skincare product.
Beauty Devices
Foreo UFO 2: A really fun at-home facial device. Definitely not a necessity but a fun way to treat yourself if you like devices!
Foreo LUNA Fofo: Again, not a necessity but if you like facial cleansing devices I believe this one is just as good as the larger devices!
Makeup
Eyes
Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette: Love these mini palettes! They have so many color options too.
Benefit Roller Lash: This is such a good mascara. It provides a bit of a natural curl, has an easy-to-use rubber brush, and doesn’t flake.
Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eyeliner: A very high quality, gel-like pencil eyeliner. The black color is super dark and matte!
Kaja Moon Crystal Sparkling Eye Pigment (I have shade Mystical): These are the perfect eyeshadow toppers! There’s a bit of a learning curve when comes to applying, but they’re so pretty.
Lips
Charlotte Tilbury Happikiss Lipstick Balm: If you like a tinted lip balm with a good amount of pigment, this is a great product! Feels so comfortable on the lips.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm: My favorite luxurious lip balm! It’s very thick and works perfectly as an overnight mask. I love the new tinted option too!
Glow Recipe Lip Pop Balm: One of my all-time fav tinted lip balms! They live in my bag because they’re nicely hydrating and provide a pop of color.
Tower 28 Lip Jelly: My favorite lip gloss ever. They’re nourishing, have a fun jelly-like look on the lips, and are at a pretty solid price at $14!
Kaja Heart Melter Lip Gloss Stick (I have shade Hunny Bun): This definitely wins for the cutest lip product. The heart shape is adorable but the formula is also great! It’s a lipstick with a glossy balm texture.
Face Makeup
Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Concealer: This has been my go-to concealer for a year now. It provides solid medium coverage while looking natural on the skin. A little goes a long way too!
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: If I need my makeup to last a full day, I’m using this setting spray. I don’t use it daily because it can be a bit drying, but it’s great for special events!
It Cosmetics CC Cream: I’ve used this for years when I’m looking for a little more full coverage. I love that it adds a little extra SPF coverage (you don’t use enough for it to be your standalone SPF). I do wish they had more shades though.
Cheeks
Rare Beauty Liquid Blush: Love these liquid blushes! I recommend getting a value set with minis because a little goes such a long way. I can apply these easily with my fingers and they have pretty good staying power for a liquid blush.
Rare Beauty Liquid Highlighter: Also been using the liquid highlighter in Mesmerize. A little goes a long way with this too and it gives a really nice natural flush.
Tower 28 Beauty BeachPlease Cream Blush: I really like the colors Tower 28 has for their blushes! I find these provide more of a glowy look compared to the Rare Beauty ones. For me, these apply best with a dense brush.
Saie Glowy Super Gel: I recently picked this up and quickly fell in love with the “lit from within” look you get with this product! You can mix it into your foundation, use it as liquid highlighter, or use it on its own for a glowy look.
Hair
Briogeo Farewell Frizz Collection: The Briogeo Farewell Frizz line is my favorite! I have really fine, Asian hair with a sensitive scalp. This line helps to minimize frizz and keep my hair soft and silky.
– Shampoo
Briogeo Scalp Revival Micro-Exfoliating Scrub: If you love a good scalp scrub, it doesn’t get much better than this. I love that this uses very small exfoliating particles and really leaves your scalp feeling fresh and clean.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Mask: My all-time favorite hair mask. I use this once every week or two to keep my hair soft and silky.
Olaplex No 3: My go-to hair treatment to use when I bleach my hair to help rebuild the hair bonds. I find this is best used about once a week/once every two weeks.
Olaplex No 7: Really love this hair oil. It’s nourishing and leaves my hair very soft. A little goes such a long way too! My only gripe is I don’t love the packaging but I overlook it because I love the product.
Amika Reset Scalp Cleansing Oil: This is a newer addition to my haircare routine but the extra step helps with any itchiness or flakiness! It’s essentially like a “pre-cleanse” for your hair. Apply it on a dry scalp, then rinse off in the shower and follow up with your regular shampoo.
Fragrance
Nest Wild Poppy: My favorite fragrance from Sephora! A light fruity/floral scent.
Value Sets/Extras
Value sets are my favorite things to shop in the Sephora sale! A lot of brand-specific value sets give you a chance to try out the brand. The Sephora Favorites sets are a great way to try out a bunch of different brands too! Some of my favorite sets are:
Rare Beauty Selena’s Faves Mini Set: A collection of makeup minis.
Rare Beauty Mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Trio: A trio of liquid blushes.
Benefit Hot For The Holidays Set: A collection of three Benefit bestsellers.
Sephora Favorites Sparkly Clean Makeup Set: A collection of “clean beauty” (hate that term” brands’ makeup products. I have this set and love it!
Sephora Favorites Swipe of Lip Color Set: A collection of lip products from various brands
Hair care sets are also a great way to try out a brand’s line for a better value:
Briogeo Honey Hydration Hair Repair Kit
Briogeo Detox + Repair Hair Value Set
Olaplex Healthy Hair Essentials
Amika Blowout Buffet Blow Dryer Brush Set
Overall Sephora Sale 2021 Recommendations
Only buy what you need. While it can be tempting to buy extra products with the VIB sale, other sales will come around. I’d recommend buying only what you need (and maybe a few long-time wishlist items).
Shop value sets. Sephora Collection has some really great value sets that give you a good bang for your buck. Purchasing these value sets with the coupon code gives you an additional discount! If any value sets catch your eye, now is a great time to grab them.
Check other sites for better deals. Especially if you’re only receiving 10-15% off during the sale, you may get a better promo code from the brand websites. Try visiting other websites to compare prices and discounts!
If you’re looking to shop for skin and beauty product before Black Friday or Cyber Monday, the Sephora sale 2021 is great if you can get 15-20% off. If not, it may be worth checking out brand websites or Ulta for other coupon or promo code offers.
